Agafay Desert

The Agafay desert is a stone desert located an hour's drive from the center of Marrakech, thanks to the color of its land, its arid hills and the existence of several bivouacs, Agafay offers a 100% desert setting and a pure nomadic experience.

Once you arrive in Agafay, you start the hike with the guide towards the High Atlas Mountains following the desert trails, you cross villages and dry rivers and you climb to the hills from where you will have splendid panoramic views of the landscapes around and on the Atlas snow-capped peaks which form a beautiful background for Agafay. After 3 hours of walking, you stop in the middle of nowhere for lunch. Among the options offered, we offer lunch in a bivouac (see options).

After lunch, you will continue your hike to Lake Lalla Takerkoust where the hike ends with the possibility of making a refreshing stop in one of its terraces in front of the lake and the Atlas Mountains to enjoy a moment of relaxation that may coincide with the sunset... A sensational pleasant moment after the experience of trekking in Agafay.
